Robert Eugene Ward was born July 5, 1944 to the late Roberta Ward and Robert Richardson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System.
He later met and married Roslyn B. Smith on June 22, 1963. As a young man, "Bobby", as he was called by his family, loved dancing and rollerskating. Every week he could be found at the Carmen Roller Rink socializing whether the vibes were good or bad he was there and most likely he was on the center stage doing his thing.
He was also known to be a sharp dresser right down to his manicured nails. If he was not working, he was wearing dress pants, shirt and a full brim hat.
In Philly he was employed as a factory worker as well as a restaurant worker. Upon moving from Philadelphia to Baltimore he lived with his cousin Carol until he later met Natalie Williams from this union a daughter, Natashia was born. In Baltimore Robert worked at Joseph S. Banks a men's clothing store, as a suit cutter. Robert also worked in transportation. From that point Robert was self-employed. He loved music and writing. He was a very caring and current person, he liked to know what was happening around the world.
Robert enjoyed his life and lived it to the fullest. Along the way he encounter many hardships, but continued on as best he could.
Finally on January 11, 2021 he answered the call and went on to eternal rest.
He leaves behind his family to cherish the memories: his wife, Roslyn; children, Robert L. (Nicola), Rhonda, Rosheal (deceased), Natashia, Robert E. Jr. and Philip; grandchildren, Donte (Tifanie), Laurence (deceased), William, Roslyn II, Ciara and Ayanna; great grands, Nyannah, Hamir, Hamazz, King, Syir, Sabri, and Ayah; siblings, Ronald (Linda), Eddie (Ollie), Bernadette, Germaine, (Ronald C.), Kevin (deceased), Jerome (deceased), Debbie, Marisa, and Terry (Wanda) also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
