Robert "Spoon" Witherspoon passed away peacefully at the age of 60 on April 23, 2015, while being surrounded by his wife and family. Robert was born on August 11, 1954 in Baltimore where he has been a lifelong area resident. He was very well known and liked by people of all ages. Robert favorite past time was watching sports and the Dallas Cowboys was his favorite team. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System in which later on in life was employed and retired from the school system after 27 years of service. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Willie H. Witherspoon; 2 brothers, Ronald W. Witherspoon and Raymond Wise and his step-son Manny. Robert is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 10 years, April A. Witherspoon; mother, Ardella R. Witherspoon; 4 sisters, Patricia, Sandra, Y olonda, and Crystal; 4 brothers; Steven, Michael, Tony, and Wesley; stepdaughter Nakia; and was known as Pop Pop of 3 to Damien, Howard and Aniya; his mother-in-law Dorothy "Moms", 2 sister-in-laws and 5 brothers -in-Iaws and his lifelong friend Rodney.
