Roberta Allen Winston, the daughter of the late Richard Winston and Gertrude Marcella Winston. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Roberta A. Winston received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Jane Addams High School in 1967. She attended the Baltimore City Community College for auto mechanics. Upon completion of her education, she became a full-time employee of Baltimore City Community College for the thirty-five years and retired in June 2005. Roberta, affectionately known as Berta, Bert, Shortie, Oompa Loumpa and Nubs. To know Bert was to love her. She brought joy into many lives. She made numerous friends whenever she went and will be sin- cerely missed by everyone who knew her. Roberta leaves to mourn: two brothers, Herbert Winston and Calvin Kidd of Dayton, Ohio; a devoted friend and companion for fifty years, Beverly Ann Brown; nieces, nephews, god-children and a host of other relatives and friends.
