IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robin Ann
Washington
March 20, 1968 – January 8, 2022
Robin Ann Washington transitioned on Saturday, January the 8th,
2022. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who Robin
had touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable
lifetime.
Robin's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her
understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in
which one lives. Her gentle smile, soft voice, and humble spirit were a joy to
her children.
Robin was born on March 20, 1968, and shortly after was left without her
biological family. When the late Willie and Ophelia Washington lay eyes on
this precious little girl, their spirits were immediately connected and so they
opened their hearts and home to her and became her adopted parents. They
adored Robin and nurtured and cultivated her with the best life had to offer.
She attended Andover high School in Glen Burnie, Maryland and upon
graduation worked briefly in retail. After years of yearning to connect with her
biological siblings, God orchestrated an opportunity for her to embrace her
sister and brother as an adult. Since reconnecting, they have remained close
until her death.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Caresha Michelle Martin, her
adopted parents Willie and Ophelia Washington. Her life will be remembered
by her family: Sons, Brieyon Martin and Torez Jones, Precious Grandchildren,
Damonie, Zyaire and Zaniya Taylor, Serenity Martin, King and Cartier Jones,
Brother Irvin Washington, Sister-in-law Josephine Washington, Nephew
Rodney Washington, Niece LaKeasha Washington and a host of other family
members and friends.
Only One Mother
Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds in the sunny weather.
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
But only one mother the wide world over.
