Rodell Edward Baker was born on January 27, 1925 to the late Edward Baker and Rhoda Baker. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 8:15 p.m. Rodell served in the United States Air Force in 1944 with an honorable discharged. While serving he was awarded a Medal of Conduct and a World War II Victory Medal. Rodell worked at Esskay until his retirement. He faithfully served as a deacon at the New Christian Memorial Church. Rodell leaves to mourn; his wife of twenty-eight years, Dorothy M. Baker; two brothers, Thomas Baker Sr., and Alvin Baker; sister-in-law, Linda Baker; six sons, Bruce Baker, Morris Baker, Alfonzo BakerPee Wee, Rodell Baker Jr. Muffin, Edward Baker deceased, gregory Baker; stepson, Anthony Jordon; three daughters, Betty Baker, Elsie Baker and Jackie Baker deceased and a host of family and friends.
