Obituary

Rodney Brown, son of the late Amanda and George Brown, was born on November 9,1960 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on April 1, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system.
Rodney was a jack of all trades, working many jobs, such as catering, tailoring, landscaping and flooring. However, he retired as a security guard at the Pimlico Race Track. But he was best known for his handiwork/'MacGyver"

Rodney was married to Angela Carter and from this union came their only child Nicole Brown. Rodney also had an older daughter Monique Griffin. He also helped raise his niece Arnell Dorsey - Bey.

Rodney also known as Rocky and Hop was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was the life of the party. Wherever he was you'd definitely hear laughter with his voice being the loudest. Telling jokes and projecting his signature laugh. He enjoyed dancing, music, boxing, skating, sewing, swimming, ironing, cleaning, and holding long conversations with family, friends, and strangers.

Rodney leaves to mourn his wife, Angela Carter, Carter, two daughters, Monique Griffin and Nicole Brown. His only grandchild Aubrey Webb. Four sisters, Louise Brown, Yolanda Brown, Cecilia Hall (Norman) and Zina Brown. Two brothers, George Brown Junior and Earl Brown. One mother-in-law, Gloria Dorsey. Six nieces and four nephews. And way too many cousins to mention by name. Extended family, the Youngs Godfather and godmother, the late Howard Young and Juliet Young. God brothers, James Young, and Jerroll Young. The Maple Avenue family, friends from Lexington market, CVS, shoppers, Garrison Avenue, and so many other places.
