Rodney Douglas Montgomery Sr. son of late Esther and Allen Montgomery was born on September
1. 1954, in Baltimore Md. Rodney quietly departed his life on Thursday July 21, 2022, at University
of Maryland Medical Center.
Rodney attended Baltimore Public Schools; he received his diploma at Frederick Douglass High
School. Rodney's first job was working at John Hopkins Laboratory. He had various jobs working as
an educator. Rodney's last employment was at Camden Yards where he retired.
Rodney enjoyed spending time with his family and telling jokes. He had nicknames for everyone in
his family. Rodney loved watching tv such as Jeopardy, M.A.S.H and Meet the Press. His favorite
sports team was the Baltimore Ravens. Rodney loved himself some Bob Marley. His two sons and
their mother were the true loves of his life.
Rodney's life will forever be cherished in the lives of his sons. Rodney Montgomery Jr. (JR), and
Douglas Taggart Jr (DJ), Sons' mother, Cynthia Durham. Two sisters. Charlene Cashour and Elizabeth
Montgomery. One brother-in-law, James Cashour. Son -in-law Sean Guss. A host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends. He Was preceded in death his parents Esther and Allen, Grandmothers Martha
and Betty, sisters Bonnie (Sissy) and Allyne, Brothers Joseph (Joe) and David. And two aunts Lillian
and Deborah.
