Roger Joseph Dartez,son of the late Clayman and Olita Dartez, was born on December 22, 1922 in Arnaudville, Louisiana. He departed this life on December 3, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Roger reeived his education in Arnaudville and Opelousas, Louisiana. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1948. He came to Baltimore, Maryland and met and married Florence Jefferson. Out of this union four children were born, Roger Joseph Dartez II, Bridget Yvonne Lee, two sons preceded him in death, Eric Kelvin Dartez and Linton Joseph Dartez. Roger later married the late Rosie Dartez who also preceded him in death. Roger gave his life to Christ and was looking forward to meeting his Savior. He was employed at various jobs. Roger retired from the Diecraft Division of Bauch Lomb after ten years of service. He was liked by all who knew him. Roger made numerous friends wherever he went. Fishing and shooting pool were some of the thngs he enjoyed doing and he was good at them. He also loved to listen to jazz music. Roger will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. Roger leaves to mourn: one son, Roger; one dauaghter, Bridget; three grandchildren whom he lovingly called ''his turkeys,'' Roger III, Kimberly and Crystal; two great-grandchildren, Donovan and Roman; one daughter-in-law, Belinda; one son-in-law, Marvin; and a granddaughter-in-law, Kathleen; one devoted sister, Mary Elva Giron of Los Angels, California; one brother, Linton Dartez deceased; one stepbrother, Harold Dartez of Houston, Texas; five stepsisters and two devoted cousins, Ruby Mouton and Albert Taylor of Opelouas, Louisana; a special aunt. Lillian Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends.
