Roland R. Givens, son of the late Henriette Givens
and Smalls Givens was born on December 9, 1931 in Anne
Arundel County, Maryland. He departed his life on Octo-
ber18,2017.

He received his education in the Baltimore City Public
School System. During his journey, he served in the U.S.
Military for 5 years. After he was released from duty he
began to work for Bethlehem Steel and the Good Will.

He was an amazing father and grandfather. He was very
attentive and he loved taking pictures of the family. He
made numerous friends wherever he went and will be
sincerely missed by everyone.

He leaves to mourn: son, Isaac Newman; daughter-in-law,
Victoria Newman; granddaughters, Giavanna Murphy, Cia
Carter, Brittany Newman, Briontay Newman, Tanika
Bums, Shakiara Holley; grandsons, Cory Wise, Donya
Newman, Deontaye Newman, Justin Deans, Christopher
Holley; great grands, Jamierra, Jayde, James, Brandon and
Jayla; godson, Tige Johnson Jr., and a host of other rela-
tives and friends.
