Obituary

Roland Price, J r. was the fourth child born to Roland Price, Sr.
and Virginia Price, who proceeded him in death, on May 4, 1945 in
Raleigh, North Carolina. He was educated in the public school
systems of Brunswick County, Virginia, where he spent his earlier
years.

In 1959, Roland moved to Baltimore, in search ofbetler job
opportunities. In his journey, he became employed with the Bethlehem
Steel Company for seven years. He continued on to pursue a career in
construction, where he contributed to the production of the popular
subway station at the Mondawmin Mall.

Anyone who came in contact with him would sure be in for a
laugh. Roland was always known for his keen sense of humor that
would definitely cause everyone in his presence to erupt into
uncontrollable laughter. His honesty when asked his opinion was
uncensored. A hardworking construction worker during the week and
a "sharply" dressed man during the weekend. His children will always
remember him for being a selfless, family man that came home from a
long day and yet still mustered up enough energy to interact with his
children.

In 1964, he married Martha Saunders and from this union came
Bobby, Sharon, Roline, Patricia and Roland, and also raised Edna.
This union lasted for 24 years. From a later union came Sheila and
Towanda Taylor.

During his brief illness, he attended church as often as he could.
The last time he was in attendance, Roland was touched in a mighty
way by the Lord, not knowing that it was his last. The Lord called him
home on December 1, after losing his battle with cancer.

Roland Price. Jr. leaves to mourn his children Edna Wright, Bobby
Saunders, Sheila Taylor, Towanda Taylor, Sharon Price, Roline
Copper, Patricia Pringle, Roland Antonio Price, 22 grandchildren, 24
great-grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews,
nieces, friends.
