Ronald Bassel Hill, the son of the late Howard and Thelma Hill was born May 11, 1942. He departed this life after a brief illness on April 3, 2017 to be with our Lord and Savior.

Roland as he was affectionately called by family and friends was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Roland received his education at Frederick Douglas High School. During his early life, Roland serviced in the United States Army from 1962-1965. He accepted Christ at an early age.

In 1966, Roland married the love of his life Theresa Dinkins, from this union they were blessed with two loving children, Sharon and Andre.

Roland was employed with AT&T Technologies formerly Western Elecric from 1968 thru 1985. Roland enjoyed music and movies and always had a good sense of humor.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Sharon Mints; son, Andre Hill; sister, Juanita Bowen; 6 grandkids;, Tia, Kia, Lucreisha, Andre, Jalen and Kamya; 9 great grandkids; three brothers, Bernard Hill, Clarence Wake, Ernest Hill; 4 sisters, Barbara Stanton, Sadie Henry, Viola Couser and Winifred Smith who all proceeded him in death and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
