Obituary

Ronald Rico Lewis, beloved son of Ronald and Diana Lewis, was born April 8,1980 at 12:30 a.m. in Baltimore, MD. On June 4, 2013 at the dawn of the morning, God called his beloved Rico from time into eternity. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. He attended Lexington Terrace and Lockerman Bundy Elementary Schools. It was at Gilmore Elementary where he met a great man and special friend, Andre Cooper. Growing up, Mr. Cooper bonded with Rico. He was instrumental in helping Rico understand that school is what he needed to succeed in life. He completed his education at Walbrook Senior High School, where meeting new friends and reconnecting with old ones was Rico's favorite past-time. During this time, Rico was fortunate to meet a courageous man named Mr. Ben Wilder. Mr. Wilder helped Rico in many ways; talking to him, guiding him and letting him know there was more to him than running the halls and having fun. Rico was very appreciative. Rico went on to work many jobs. Great times were shared at his last job, Turkoff Inc., where he went to work every morning with his Dad. Rico always was the type of guy to make people feel welcomed. So everyone always wanted to be around that loving guy. Many jokes where made and many friends were met. Rico was a big teddy bear! Rico was a man, friend, provider, protector, son, brother and father. Rico was the eldest and only son of his parents. He loved and adored, and was truly loved and adored by his mother. They had a special bond that transcends even death. Rico fell in love with his baby sister "Missy" as soon as she came into this world. He loved and protected her always. He was a great confidant to whomever he came in contact with. Rico's sweet smile and laughter brought warmth to everybody's heart and soul. He was loved by many. To have Rico in your life was a great privilege. Rico was a provider. He never made promises that he could not keep. Rico made a way out of no way. He made sure everyone and every situation was good. Growing up, he was the best male figure to have around. If Rico said it was going to be ok, it was going to be ok. He was a protector: you could never be in harms way having a man like Rico in your life. He was a good listener. You could | talk to him about any and everything with the assurance of not being judged. Rico was never a man i to hold grudges and even if you talked to him about your problems about another person, he never held resentment towards that individual. God really shook the world when he took this rare and beautiful flower. My God! A man that was so pure, genuine and gone too soon. He was an adoring son. He was a beautiful man at heart, mind,, body and soul. He was an awesome brother with the charisma to keep a smile on his sister's face to keep her moving. He was an outstanding father and stepfather to Damius Lewis and DaMon'te Williams. He made sure his sons were great in spite of anything. Rico was the most pleasant person with the purest heart he was the true definition of a loving man, father, son, and a great nephew. Rico leaves to mourn: his two lil' soldiers: Damius Lewis and DaMonte' Williams, His loving parents Diana and Ronald Lewis; one extremely loving and devoted baby sister, Ronnell "Missy" Lewis, his beautiful niece Ky'Asia Cooper, his handsome nephew Kahmod Lewis, his best friend and mother of his children LaTashia Hawkins. As well as his only living grandparent, Bertha Lewis. Grandparents: Viola and David Brown, proceeded him in death.
