Ronald C. Smith, was born on 26 December 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland to Wilhelmina Smith and Morris Smith. Roland, graduated from Edmondson High School then attended Towson Unversity in Baltimore. In 1969, Ronald enlisted in the Army wuntil being honorable discharged. Soon after being discharged, Ronald begin working with the State of Maryland Correctional Facility. He departed this life obn October 1, 2008 at Bon Secour Hospital, surrounded by lov8ing family members. Ronald leaves to cherish his momory; his loving parents Morris & Wilhelmina Smith; two children, Tyra Tate and Ronald C.J. Smith, two grandcildren, Kailah Tate and Caleb guess; two sisters, Rene Wright and Karen Griffin; two brothers, Morris Smith Jr. and William Smith; two brothers-in-law, Cliff Griffin and John Wright; one sister-in-law, Tricia Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and long time friends.
