Obituary

Ronald Norwood White was born on July 14, 1938 in New York City to
Norwood and Elizabeth Iris White. However he spent his childhood and growing
into manhood in Dames Quarter, MD where he was reared by Molly and Gary
Roberts whom he affectionately called "Mom" and "Pop".

It was in Dames Quarter surrounded by a large extended family that Ronald
matured into a fun, loving and welcoming spirit. He had an infectious personality
but nothing pleased him more than lifting his voice in song. That love of song
was cultivated in his early attendance and membership at Macedonia United
Methodist Church of Dames Quarter MD, where he was baptized and accepted
Christ.

Nothing seemed to please Ronald more than summertime when his six brothers
and sisters would romp, play and get into all kinds of mischief with so much time
on their hands. Those days seemed to have a special place in his heart.

Ronald was a serious and adventurous spirit. This led him to enlist in the United
States Marine Corp in 1956, where he served until his honorable discharge in
1962.

Ronald, as an adult, settled in the city of Baltimore, MD. He had a desire to help
young people "find themselves" and become productive citizens, and positive
role models for others, which led him into a career as a Unit manager at the
Montrose School where he worked and lived on campus for 15 years. Upon
leaving Montrose he worked as a Unit Manger at The Charles H. Hickey School
until he retired in 1997. In his retirement he stayed busy with a savvy business
mind selling East Baltimore's favorite frozen cups, dinners sandwiches, sodas
and chips. He always helped those in need when their families turned their backs.
Ronald loved helping others, Untold numbers are better human beings because
of Ronald's strong and positive direction.

Nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by his children and loved ones.
After a difficult hospitalization the caring, loving, and joyful Ronald White
transitioned from Earth to Heaven on Saturday, March 26, 2016.

He leaves to mourn in his passing: his daughter, Tiffany M. White; son-in-law
Kenneth E. Peach Jr.; grandsons, Da'White L.L. Faison, Kenneth M.L. Peach;
four adopted daughters, Linnett Raymond, Deborah Wheeler, Beverly Pritchett,
Cheryl Mills and 29 grandchildren. In addition he will be missed by his aunt,
Virgie Moore; brother, Bishop Woodie W. White; sisters, Gloria Rembert, Mary
Elizabeth Washington, Melvina Rosetta Collins, and a host of nieces nephews,
cousins and loving friends. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home Wednesday, April 06, 2016 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM Email Details 2140 N. Fulton Ave
