Roosevelt Campbell, Sr. and Jennie Smith Campbell of Warren County, North Carolina and the youngest of 15 siblings was born on August 26, 1940 in Warren County, North Carolina departed this life on Tuesday, July 28, 2009. He received his education from Werran County Training School, currently named North Warren High School, and graduated in 1959. He was employed by the Baltimore City Public Works Department for 35 years until he retired in February 2004. Roosevelt accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Norlina Baptist Church in Norlina, North Carolina. After moving to Baltimore he attended the MT. Moriah Baptist Church underthe pastorate of the late Rev.Dr. Arthur J Benn. He was a Master Mason for over 20 years. He favorite past time was watching tlevision. He was very informative of the Bible and could quote many scripture verse. He was married to the former Anna Bernice Hargrove and from this union 5 children were born. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted friend Gussie Bell Sales;children, Jacqueline Ann Campbell, Roosevelt Campbell, Jr., Lucy Jean White Kenneth, Angelina Collins and Ryan McCaully of Maryland, Joyce Ruth McKoy Alfonso and Phillip Vincent Campbell of Florida, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a sister, Virginia Green of Philadelphia, two brothers, James Earl Campbell and George W. Campbell Deborah of North Carolina a devoted niece, kimberly Campbell and son Eric, and a host niece, nephews, cousins and friends.
