Rory Washington, son of Janine Johnson and

Larry Washington, was born on February 5, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland.

He departed this life suddenly on September 1,2019.

He attended Baltimore city public schools and won a scholarship to the

prestigious Gilman School in the 6th grade. He continued his education in

the Job Corp, where he received his GED and Carpentry Certification.

Rory was a practicing devout Muslim, He wrote and spoke fluent Arabic. He

was known as Raheem to his Muslim brothers and sisters. Rory loved to read

and write. He had the soul and spirit of an artist. He was a big sports fan of

all the Maryland teams.

Rory married his beloved Annette Kittrell on July 27, 2019 in a religious

ceremony.

Annette recalled Rory often expressing his love and pride for his sons and

his granddaughter. When he spoke of his mother and sister it was obvious

they shared a special bond. Rory loved his sister and his nephews. When

Rory talked about his mother he would say she taught him how to cook,

dress, be respectful and so much more. He would say he could feel his

mother's love through his struggles and no matter the circumstance, she was

his constant. He could always count on her. He admired her strength and

loved her deeply.

Rory loved to show off his humorous side. Making us laugh until we cried.

Intelligent, funny, humble, modest are some words that describe Rory. His

nephews were like sons to him, his cousins were more like brothers and

sisters. Family was everything to him. Rory will be sincerely missed by

everyone.

Rory leaves to mourn: his wife, Annette; mother, Janine Johnson; father,

Larry Washington; stepfather, Charles Foster; sister, Jocelyn Johnson;

grandmother, Detroit Washington; his sons, Darius, Daquan, Daeshon,

Deneal, Raheem and Kylique; his only granddaughter, Madison; his neph-

ews, Lamarge Jr., Martez and Arden; special friends, Pam, Celena, Veroni-

ca, Kyra and Charlene; and a host of aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
