Obituary

Rosa A. Brown, daughter of the late Roy and Rosa Andrews, was born March 7, 1947 and departed her life on January 23, 2009 at her home after a lengthy illness. Rosa was known as "Pee Wee" by her family and friends. She was a devoted mother who loved her two sons, Clarence and Earl, very dearly. Rosa came to know and love the Lord at a very early age. She joined Centennial-Caroline United Methodist Church around 1971 and was a very dedicated and loyal member of the Usher Board for thirty-five years and president of the Usher Board at the time of her death. She was a very caring person who was always concerned about others. She always visited the sick and gave her all to everyone who came in contact with her. Rosa met the love of her life, Douglas MacArthur Brown, and they were united in holy matrimony in the early 1980's. They were married for twenty-two years. Rosa leaves to mourn; two sons, David Earl Andrews and Clarence Whitby of Baltimore, Maryland; five granchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Lena Cotton of Bronx, New York and Mary Taylor of Baltimore, Maryland; four brothers, Earnest Andrews of Ocala, Florida, Raymond Andrews and David Andrews of Baltimore, Maryland and Sylvester Andrews of Tarboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
