ROSA M. WASHINGTON of Baltimore, MD passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013. She was born on October 2, 1941 in Bishopville, South Carolina the daughter of the late Lucious and Rosetta Carter. She received her education at Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD. She retired from Charlestown Retirement Center (2005) and Jenkins Memorial Nursing Home. Before her health began to fail her, she faithfully served the Lord and attended New Psalmist Baptist Church, Baltimore, MD. She also loved spending time traveling and enjoying family gatherings. She was compassionate, loving, and giving. There was not anything she would not do for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George F. Washington, Sr. "and son Gregory E. Washington. She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, George and wife Joyce Washington of Baltimore, MD, Tyrone and wife Lorraine Washington of Portsmouth, VA, Steven and wife June Bryant of Baltimore, MD; and daughter, Deborah Washington of Baltimore, MD; brother, Lucious Carter and dear friend Ethel Lynn Harris of Elizabeth, New Jersey; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
