Rosalee Washington was born on January 19, 1938 to the late Roosevelt and Grace Byrd.

Ro, as she was affectionately known to all her family and friends, attended Baltimore City Public School System. Ro also, attended the Baltimore County Public Schools System, Turner Station and Sparrows Point.

Ro, at the age of 21 entered in Holy Matrimony with Charles Washington of Fredrick, MD whom preceded her in early 1960.

Rosalee was such a loving, caring and hard working person. Ro also was a straight to the point type of person. Ro always received comments known and unknown for her beautiful smile.

Ro always doted over her two children Rosalee, her name sake, her son Roosevelt and her grandson William. Ro was considered to be like a mother hen protecting her baby chicks.

Ro had a stroke on Palm Sunday in 2014. Ro never fully recovered from her illness but her spirit was never broken. Ro daughter, Rosalee her namesake was constantly in touch with her mom, visiting, calling along side with her son, William and brother Roosevelt. They showered their mother with love, gifts and kind words to let Ro (Morna) know she was loved very much. William her grandson was right by his grandmother side, as she transition from this earthly side to God's heavenly home. Then God in all His goodness decided to relieve her of all her pains and suffering. God, called her on home to a place where there will be no more pains and suffering. Ro, you surly will be missed by all who knew and loved you.

Six siblings who preceded her in this life, Katherine, Ernest, Annie Mae, Leon, Marguerite and Joseph. She leaves to mourn: 1 daughter, Rosalee Kingwood; 1 son, Roosevelt Salter; 1 grandson, William Ernest Byrd; 2 sisters, Laura Wilson and Bernice Byrd; 1 brother and sister-in-law, William and Carrie Byrd; 4 great grands, Miracle, Arzar, Dontae and EsJuan; 1 great great grand, Logan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, relatives and a host of friends.
