Rosalind Louise House, daughter of the late Goldie Garris and Gwendolyn Reid, was born on October 24, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. Rosalind was an only child.

Rosalind attended Baltimore City Public Schools, where she graduated from Eastern High School, Class of 1961 and received her Maryland State High School Diploma. She attended Hampton Institute, now Hampton University and Coppin State College, where she received her BS Degree in Education.

She diligently taught for over 30 years in the Baltimore City Public School System, touching the lives of her students and co-workers. After retirement she continued to provide tutelage to toddlers at the Morgan State Christian Center and The Successful Children's Learning Center.

Rosalind accepted Christ early in life. She attended Wayland Baptist Church, City Temple Baptist Church and Mount Calvary AME, where she faithfully attended until her illness. She loved her pastor and church family.

Rosalind enjoyed dining out and spending time with her girlfriends. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her three sons and grandchildren.

Rosalind was preceded in death by her husband James C. House Sr, her parents and her loving devoted stepfather James E. Reid, who loved her as his own until his passing.

Rosalind leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, James C. House, Jr, Gregory D. House(Deanna), Sean T. House, Sr; four grandchildren Brittany House, Jordan House, Jade House and Sean House, Jr; three sister-in-laws, Gloria Catlett(John), Harriet House and Evelyn House; one brother-in-law Gary Shaw; one aunt Dorothy Finch; three first cousins, Pam Smith, Darnell and Anton Finch; special friends, Joyce Jones, Doris Countess, Henry Goode, Nita Davenport who preceded her in death, John Spivey, whom was like a fourth son and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
