Obituary

Rosella Evelyn Halll, daughter of the late Roosevelt Scrap and Grace Scott Crowder, was born in South Boston, Virginia, on September 20, 1933. She departed this life on July 31, 2008. Rosella was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She had several careers in her life time. Rosella worked as a seamstress at Raleigh's; she was a Certified Nursing Assistant; and she once owned a fast food restaurant. What she was known far and wide for was her cooking-delicious cakes, mouthwatering macaroni and cheese, melt in your mouth rolls. You name it she cooked it. Rosella met Lee Junior White also known as Wolf as a young women. They were married in May 1953. From this union came two loving children, Garland Lee White and Debbie Iilene White. Rosella and Wolf moved to Augusta Avenue in Edmondson Village around 1965. They were well established in the community and Rosella developed many strong relationships and friendships. Wolf was called home May 1, 1995. Rosella remarried December 1, 1996 to John W. Hall. She moved from Edmondson Village to Cherry Hill to began a new life with John. Being the kind of person she was, she quickly began to build new relationships and friendships. Rosella loved life. Her smile and her laughter could light up a room. She didn't believe in complaining. She loved taking care of people-always offering a helping hand. There was nothing more important to her than her family, her friends and her faith. The Crowder family were lifetime members of Leadenhall. Rosella was baptized in 1950. She served as a nurse for more than thirty years. She wasn't an official of the culinary committee but you could always find her in the kitchen cooking up something when there were special events at church. She was also a member of the Gospel Chorus, the Sisterhood, the Ware Life Line, and the Wednesday Noonday Prayer and Praise Service. Rosella was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Bernice and her brothers Benjamin and Samuel Crowder. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory her husband, John W. Hall; her son Garland Lee White; her daughter, Debbie Iilene White; daughter-in-law, Patricia White; son-in-law, Walter Fuddy Ringgold; seven grandchildren, Monique Woolford, Kim McDonald, Kimia McDonald, Morgan Naylor, Garland White, Jordan White, and Cinque White; two great grandchildren, Breiana and Asa; niece, Dorian Ayers and her husband Carlton; great niece Kerryn; a very special best friend, Elvira Jones; two very special cousins that were also best friends, Betty Chesson and Susan Sims; and a host of family and friends.
