Rosetta Schofield, our beloved mother was the daughter of the late Sadie Brockington and Samuel Schofield. Rosetta was born on October 3, 1932 in South Carolina. Rosetta was 80 years old when she departed this life on May 20, 2013. At the age of 13 Rosetta came to Baltimore to live with her parents. Rosetta was educated in the Baltimore City School System. Rosetta lived in Murphy Homes and years later moved to McCulloh Homes where beautiful gardens were created in both places. She made a way of living by waitressing and cooking in several restaurants. Which lead her to open Ms. Rose Kitchen where she was best known for her shrimp fried rice. Rosetta enjoyed cooking and feeding others. Rosetta's heart was so golden that she would feed anyone she knew even homeless people off the street. She also enjoyed listening to her blues music. She was also earthly (herbs, spices etc.). Rosetta created her very own seasoning which was soo delicious. Rosetta had a love for oriental furniture also. Rosetta leaves to cherish in her memories her six children.
