Rossie Lee Hines, was born April 8, 1951 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to the late Johnnie Epps and Dorothy Thames. He was affectionately loved by many and known fondly as "Boot". Rossie departed, this life on Friday, May 29, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Rossie received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He also attended Job Corp where he became a master chef Rossie joined Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church and Ministries as a young adult. He was a dedicated and devoted member of the Senior Ushers' Ministry. He thoroughly enjoyed making sure anyone entering the church had a program and delighted in escorting them to a seat. Rossie was employed by Belair Seafood in Old Town Mall, Carroll County Hospital as a custodian, and Folly Quarter Middle School- Howard County as a senior floor technician for 16 years until he retired. Rossie had a giving spirit, always willing to help anyone; was a great loving son, father and brother. He was protective of his family and friends. Rossie leaves to cherish his memory: two loving daughters, Charnel Hines and Charnette Waters; one son, Rossie Hines, Jr.; mother, Dorothy Thames; step-father, Lee Thames; five sisters, Janice, Ange- la, Danielle, Sheena and Brenda (preceded him in death); three brothers, Eddie, Albert and Ray (preceded him in death); one son-in- law, Bruce Waters; three grandchildren, Jamaal, Kevon and Keyona; special family, Mildred, Carol, Andrew and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and special friend, Louise Nichols.
