Obituary

Roslyn Heath Murrill made her grand arrival to this world as Roslyn Delores Jones on March 25, 1957 in Richmond, Virginia. The second child and first daughter of Eddie and Jean Jones. From day one Roslyn stood out from the rest. Roslyn moved with her family to Baltimore when she was a young girl. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system where she graduated from the historic Eastern High School in 1975. After graduating from high school, Roslyn attended Towson State College (now Towson University) and Wilberforce University. Family was everything to Roslyn and the lights of her world were her three children: in 1984 she welcomed the arrival of her daughter Ashley Jaime (who Roslyn affectionately nicknamed Swoopette), in 1987 Oliver Edgar (nicknamed Olie) arrived and the family welcomed Hamilton Alexander (known by the family as Ham or Hambone) in 1988. You rarely saw Roslyn without her tribe. They traveled everywhere together. Roslyn regularly took her children on outings to the park, Disney on Ice, Sesame Street Live and other fun events. Roslyn made sure to be at every school recital, graduation and any other special occasion. Roslyn sacrificed to make sure that her children wanted for very little. It was with her children in mind that Roslyn went back to finish her education, graduating with a medical certification that allowed her to work in the health field. She started her health career at Park West Medical Center with Dr. Donald Bousel, who wasn't just her employer but a longtime friend for nearly 25 years. Roslyn was known for her extensive medical knowledge and caring manner which made her a favorite with patients and medical staff alike. In 1993, Roslyn married her partner for life, James Murrill. The two were inseparable and one rarely saw one without the other. Throughout her life Roslyn wore many hats. She was a faithful mother, wife, grandmother (known as Honey to her beautiful grandson, Dylan Alexander Heath), daughter, sister, auntie, cousin and friend. People naturally gravitated toward Roslyn and her personality made her the center of attention wherever she went. At family gatherings, Roslyn was often the one who got the party started. Roslyn had many hobbies and passions, one of which was her love for animals. She was a loyal dog and cat mother. Even taking the time to take classes where she learned how to properly groom and care for her furry babies: Bono, Bogaurd, Bell, Bella, Bob and Mimi. Roslyn's other love was for music. Her record collection was legendary amongst family and friends and Roslyn was always known to keep up with the latest songs, dances and trends. Roslyn has graduated from her physical body and gained her spiritual robe. She leaves many to speak her name and honor her memory. She was preceded in passing by her husband, James and her father Eddie. She leaves her three children: Ashley, Oliver and Hamilton; one daughter-in-law: Stephanie; one beloved grandson: Dylan; her mother: Jean; one brother: Eddie [r.: six sisters: Pattie, Lee Ann, Nickie, Judy, Jill and Victoria; five brothers-in-law: Rodney, Jerry, Daryl, Mark and Sterling; four nieces: [ana, Phebe, Abigail and Nailah; five nephews: Daryl [r., Y.
