RUBY HOPSON-BRYANT was born on March 14, 1955, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Robert Spriggs Sr. and Dorothy Hopson. She departed this life on February 23, 2026, after fighting a long-term illness.

 Ruby graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore, MD. She went on to pursue a career in many different fields, such as retail, assisted living, as well as warehouse management.

 Ruby loved to cook, watch scary movies and science fiction, and spend time with her infamous cat, “Baby.” If you knew Ruby, she always said exactly what was on her mind at any time. She was also known in her neighborhood for the countless snacks and meals she provided throughout the community.

Ruby gave birth to her one and only son, Sharrod, whom she loved more than life. Ruby raised her baby boy with unconditional love. Later in life, Ruby married Micheal Bryant; unfortunately, the union ended in divorce, but they remained friends. Ruby had countless friends wherever she went, and she will be forever missed by everyone.

Ruby Hopson-Bryant leaves to mourn: her son, Sharrod Dont’a Hopson; sister, Phyllis Hopson; brothers, Selven Hopson and Robert Spriggs; granddaughters, Sashay Hopson, Rashard Hopson, and Lynia Ligon; loving daughter-in-law, Kisha Hopson; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
