Ruby M. Green, daughter of the late Eula Mae Southers and

the late John Southers, was born on December 5, 1947 in

Lancaster, South Carolina. She departed this life on

June 15,2019 surrounded by family.

Ruby was one often siblings, five of which proceeded her in

death; M. L., J. D., Viola, John C., and Helen:

Ruby moved to Baltimore City in 1956 at the age of9 years

old. Ruby had a total of six children, the late Roland Johnson,

Jerome Flemings, also Reginald, Andre, the late Jerry,

and her only daughter Yvonne during her union with

Jerry Green.

She received her education in the public school system of

Baltimore, Maryland. She worked as a housekeeping

supervisor at Charles Towers for many years until retirement.

She took pride in her work and received several service

awards for her outstanding performance.

Ruby enjoyed cooking "soul food". She enjoyed spending

time with her children and especially the family gatherings.

She was very friendly and always would greet everyone with her

infectious smile. She had a very kind spirit. She was a

great listener and always willing to help those that are in need.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Jerome Flemings,

Reggie Green and Andre (Bintou) Green, daughter

Flossie Haggins of Buffalo NY, Shirley Tunstall, Mary Ann Spann

and Joann Witherspoon of Baltimore MD; Grandchildren

Donte Johnson, Tyrone Flemings, Ryeisha Green,

Reginald Green and Cassandra Staton of Baltimore MD; godson-

Raymond Hudson and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and

friends.
