Rudolph Perry was born on August 04,1935, in Baltimore, Maryland to Charles and Hortense Perry. He departed this lifeon January 09, 2020, peacefully at home in Woodlawn Maryland.
Rudolph was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science from Coppin State College in May 1974.
Rudolph met and later married J. MildredMcCall and within this family there were three children Rudolph Jr., Wanda Lynn, and Tracy. Rudolph was a long time member of First United Church of Jesus Christ where he taught Sunday school for many years.
In 1955, Rudolph enrolled in the U.S. Airforce where he servedas an Airmen 3rdClass and received an honorable dischargein1958. Rudolph's commitment to public service continued with a stellar career for more than three decades as a Postal Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. While on duty as a Postal Carrier, Rudolph saw a house engulfed by fire and heroically rescued a family. The Honorable Mayor William D. Schaeffer, and the U.S. Postmaster General, ceremonially honored Rudolph for his selfless and heroic actions. Rudolph retired from the U.S. PostalService in December 1988.
Rudolph spent many years enjoying friends, family, and lovedones. He was a great artist and loved to sketch. He never forgothis military training which was evident in the perfectly mitered
corners of the bed and daily foldingofthe laundry. He was acompassionate, sensitive, and a very appreciative man. Thesimplestthings in life brought him joy and satisfaction. Certainly, all who knew Rudolph, could attest to how much he loved a good meal.
Rudolph leaves to cherish his memory a loving family,RandySellars, grandson, who lovingly cared for him for morethana decade, extended family, and friends.
Rudolphwillbe truly missed by all whom he touched as he lived a and wonderful life.
