Ruth Ann Carter, affectionately known as

' Ne Ne' departed this life on Friday, September 7,2018.

Ruth , the daughter of the late James Oscar Carter and the
late Mary Hallie Carter was born on May 4, 1928 in
Baltimore , Maryland. Ruth was one of nine children . She
received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools.

Ruth worked various jobs and retired from Towson
University.

Ruth enjoyed sitting on her front steps , family gatherings,
playing cards and going to the market. She loved reading
the newspaper and playing the lottery.

Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Frank
and Robert "Reds" Carter; sisters Dorothy Virginia Carter
Jones and Blanche Lorraine Carter. She was also preceded
in death by her daughter Michelle Louise Carter , grandsons

Herbert "Tubby " Chambers, Gregory and Ernie Robinson,
granddaughters Lonnie and Kimberly Robinson and great -
grandson Jaylen Tazewell.

Ruth leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Io Ann
Smith, Donna Womack (Arthur); six sons James Robinson
(Cynthia) ; Gregory Robinson (Mary); Robert Robinson (the
late Charlene Brown); Malcolm Robinson (Robin) ; Bret
Robinson (Catherine); Bren Carter (Sherron); twenty-four
grandchildren; thirty - one great-grandchildren; and three
great - great-grandchildren. Her sisters, Beatrice, Marjorie
and Jeannette and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins and

friends.
