Ruth Katherine Lindsey daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Strother was born May 12, 1922 in Baltimore Maryland. She was the oldest of seven children. Ruth received her education in Baltimore Maryland, She began working at a early age along with her sisters Priscilla doing restaurant work. Ruth met and married Isaiah Lindsey who preceded her in death. From this union they had two children Cecelia Shelton who preceded her in death and a son Donzell Lindsey. Ruth left Baltimore in the very early 50's and moved to Philadelphia. After 30 years, she retured to Baltimore in 1980 to be with her mother when her brother passed. Ruth departed this life after a short illness on December 30, 2011. Ruth leaves to cherish her memory her son Donzell Lindsey, one sister Barbara Shelton, a son in-law Melvin Shelton, four grandchildren Jackie, Janice, Eric and Leo, and Ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
