Ruth Catherine Miller, affectionately known as "Cissy" by her family and friends, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Tate was born on June 13, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on Tuesday evening, March 21, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System.

Later in life she met and married the late William Edward Miller and out of this union carne 5 children: 1 stepson, the late William Gary Tolson, 1 son, James Edward Miller and 3 daughters, Darlene Harrison, Charlene Miller and the late Ruth Angela Miller. She was a devoted wife and a very loving mother.

She's preceded in death by: her husband, William Edward Miller; 2 sisters, Lillian Ann Gibson and Shirley Lillian Smith; 2 sons, William G. Tolson and James Miller and 1 daughter, Ruth Angela Miller.

Cissy was a wonderful person with a loving personality. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her many grands and great grandchildren, drinking coffee and Pepsi, talking on the phone, watching her stories on TV and playing cards.

Although Cissy loved everyone, she held a very, very special place in her heart for her "Wonderful (3)Three", Cecelia Sutton "CeCe", Ruth White "Katie" and Audrey Hall.

She leaves to mourn: 3 daughters, Yvonne Lawrence, Darlene Harrison and Charlene Miller; 2 sons-in-law, Michael Harrison and John Mattison; 13 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; 2 god-sons, Peter Jessup and Johnathan Carter; 1 god-daughter, Amber Ruth and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
