IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Samuel Lee
Harvin
November 20, 1964 – December 14, 2024
Samuel Lee Harvin, Jr., known to his family as "Bubba" transitioned unexpectedly on December 14th, 2024. He was born on November 20, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland from the loving union of the late Geneva DeShields and Samuel Lee Harvin, Sr.
He received his education through the Baltimore City Public Schools System. Bubba worked at an early age at a warehouse in South Baltimore. In addition to working, Bubba was your favorite handy man, from putting up sheetrock, painting and moving and hauling... he was everyone's go to guy.
Bubba was dedicated to his family and friends, especially to his twin sister Sandy Harvin. They would have a battle over the Ravens and Steelers, because he was a die hard Steelers fan.
Bubba had the most bubbly and pleasing personality . He was a son, father, brother, nephew and protector to everyone that he encountered and would defend you to the end. Everywhere he went he made friends. Anything you asked him to do, he would do it effortlessly. As a young kid, he always did his own thing. He
enjoyed playing "Rock'em Sock'em Robot", and playing with his army men. He l
loved a good basketball challenge and dancing, but football was his all time favorite (Pittsburgh Steelers).
Bubba was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Deshields and one brother, Kenneth Gatlin.
Samuel leaves a legacy of love to celebrate his life: his father, Sammie Harvin, Sr.; two daughters, Ameerah and Shaniqua Harvin; one son, Christopher Ballard; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Tyjon, Tyjonna, Jaden, Daelyn, Amari, CJ, Kash, and Seven; four siblings, Sandy Harvin-Smith, Karen Rantion, Dana Brown, and Kareem Bolden; seven nieces, Tiffany, Juana, Tiara, Jasmine, Janae, Dominique, and Lebora; one nephew, Charles Gasque and host of uncles, aunts, great nieces, nephews, and friends.
