IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Samuel L.
Jackson
June 13, 1961 – February 18, 2026
SAMUEL LOUIS JACKSON, son of the late Elizabeth and Reverend Rufus Jackson, Sr. was born on June 13,1961 in Baltimore, Maryland. On February 18, 2026, Jesus took his hand and led him home.
Samuel received his formal education in the Baltimore City Public School System.
In his early years he worked for Noxell Corporation and was a Supervisor at Pimlico Race Track. He also tried his hand at entrepreneurship. Samuel was employed at Danko Arlington as a machinist when his health began to decline.
Samuel knew Christ and accepted Him at an early age. Through his trials and tribulations he grew a closer relationship with Christ. Affectionately known as Sam he loved his children deeply and they loved him too! He had a special place in his heart for his grandson, Aiden. He would light up like a Christmas tree whenever he spoke about him. Samuel was always smiling and made friends wherever he went. He was tickled whenever someone teased him about his name. Whenever they would say “hey Samuel L. Jackson”, he would reply “and what's in your wallet?”
He loved family get-togethers, good seasoned fried chicken wings, riding motorcycles, going to boxing matches and watching Raven’s football games. Lamar Jackson was his favorite player.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Reverend Rufus Jackson, Sr.; two brothers Rufus Jackson Jr. and James Jackson and one son Davontay KeShawn Jackson.
He leaves to mourn one daughter (the apple of his eye) Jasmine; two sons Samuel “Jamal” and Kevin; one grandson Aiden. Two brothers Charles Jackson, Sr. and Angelo Jackson, Sr.; one devoted sister Lenora Jackson-Chapman (Barry); one aunt Vivienne Bennett; a devoted niece Trina Franklin (Lawrence); special friend Donna Johnson, a childhood friend Bobby Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
