Samuel Leroy Wilson was born on April 24, 1935 in Salters, South Carolina to the late Harvey and Carrie Hugee Wilson. He departed his earthly life on Saturday, May 28, 2011 after a long illness. Sanuel was educated in the schools of Williamsburg County, South Carolina. Samuel was a retired Laborer Operator. He took pride in his work and loved what he did for so many years. Samuel, who affectionately known as "Sam the Man" or "Bush," touched the lives of all who met and knew him. He was united in Holy Matrimony on March 24, 1957 to the late Willie Mae Washington and this union was blessed with three children, one whom preceded him to the grave. He later met and married Erma Gideron in December of 1971. To this union one child was born. He moved to Philadelpia, Pennsylvania and jioned Rome Emanuel Baptist Church. After a number of years he decided to relocate to Baltimore, Maryland where he met a wonderful and devoted companion Sandra Walton. He had three siblings who preceded him in death Thomas, Mary and Nathan. Loved ones who will cherish his memory forever are; his loving children, Hazel stockton of Edwardsville, PA, thenthy Anderson of Salters, SC, Lerone Darlene wilson of Philadelphia, PA and sonia wilson of Philadelphia PA, fur caring stepchildren, Kim gideron of Philadelphia, PA, Tonya Walton, Trina Walton and Teresa Spriggs of Baltimore, MD; eighteen adorable grandchildren; thirteen charming great-grandchildren; four wonderful brothers, David and Harvey Wilson of Salters, SC, Phillip and Abraham Wilson of Baltimore, MD; two sincere sisters Inez Huell of Salters, SC and Betty Gonder of Browx NY; aspecial niece, Marie robinson of Lane SC; one aunt whom was so dear to him, Ruth Nesmith of Philadelphia, PA; a closer and dear friend, Bernard davis of baltimore, MD, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
