IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra L
Carter
July 26, 1963 – March 1, 2026
The life of our beloved queen, Sandra Louise Carter was born on July 26, 1963, at 9:25am at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore MD. She suddenly departed her life on March 1, 2026. Sandra was born to the late Walter Carter and Nora Brandford, who both preceded her in death.
Sandra was known for her kind spirit that could light up every room that she walked into. She was also known for her fiery red hair and her confident, sassy walk.
She attended Baltimore City Public Schools and truly loved being a homemaker. Dancing and music was a big part of her life. She always knew how to cut a rug. Her favorite celebrity crush was 50 cent and she loved dancing to his song “In Da Club”.
Sandra was very outspoken and never hesitated to say exactly what was on her mind. When you think of the definition of LOVE, many would picture HER. As written in 1 Corinthians 13:4 love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. Sandra truly embodied that kind of love.
Sandra was a devoted mother who lived for her children (or in her words her 3 women). She was also incredibly loving and attentive to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom had their own unique nickname that she proudly gave them. Sandra was extremely proud of her girls. Everywhere she went and with everyone she spoke to, they were the topic of conversation. She bragged about her girls LOUD and PROUD!
Her grandchildren were truly the center of her world. She took her role as their grandmother very seriously. Sandra lovingly watched each and every one of her grandchildren from birth and made sure she never missed a single milestone.
Sandra leaves to cherish her memories her 3 daughters Monique Johnson-Hampton, Shannon Whitfield-Gamble, and Shantell Whitfield 2 son-in-laws Eddie Hampton and Steven Gamble Jr. 4 grandchildren Cache’ Greenwood(Thunder Thighs), Jaiden Hampton (Boka Butt), Keyon Beasley Jr.(KJ/Junior), and Skyla Gamble(Muffin) 3 great-grandchildren Malik Curbean Jr.(Munchkin), Mason McMillan(Butt-Butt), and Maci McMillan(Sweat Pea) 9 siblings Patricia Saunders, Diane Brandford, Rudolph Talbot, Walter Daniels, Lenora Walker, Tiajuanna Lee, Earl Walker Jr., 1 sister and brother who proceeds her in death Gary Talbot and Beverly Carter 2 special friends David Johnson and Guy Jones, a favorite niece Sharnicka Lee, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
