Obituary

Sandra Comora Saez-Alicea, oldest of two daughters of the late Charlie Samuel and Willie Mae Pierce, was born on March 30, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland. Sandra was preceded in death by her father on November 27, 1990 and her mother on October 27, 1997. She was baptized at Faith Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Sandra was a member of the Junior Choir and Junior Usher Board. She departed this life on Monday, October 28, 2013 after an illness with cancer. Sandra was joined in holy matrimony to the late Johnnie Counts in Baltimore, MD. From this union one daughter was born, Chaun LaNette Counts. Sandra was married to Juan Saez-Alicea in Baltimore, MD. From this union one son was born, Rikko Saez-Alicea. Sandra was known fondly as "Sinee" by her relatives, "Fuggie" by her father, "Madrea " by her granddaughters and "Scrooge " by her sister. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, always having a warm smile, loving spirit arid encouraging words for her entire family and friends. Her compassion and listening ear will be greatly missed by her relatives, friends, and even people she did not know just passing by on streets. Sandra was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She graduated from Edmondson High School in 1965 and began her work career with Union Trust Bank as a teller. She later began a long and notable career with the Social Security Administration (SSA). During her employment at SSA, Sandra worked primarily in the Office of Systems as a Computer Assistant. After leaving SSA, she was. briefly employed by the Noxell Corporation. Sandra later became employed as a Procurement Assistant with Fort George Meade for numerous years and retired in 2008. Sandra leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Chaun L. Counts; one son, Rikko Saez-Alicea; two granddaughters, Rakera Saez-Alicea and Akera Saez-Alicea; one sister, Portia L. Pierce; 3 aunts; 3 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, two devoted friends, William A. Bowling, Jr., and Sherrie McPhaul and a host of loving relatives and friends.
