Sandra Estelle Stoops was the daughter of late Edward and Helen Toppin and was welcomed into their family on October 24, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed from this life on March 27, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Sandra attended school in Baltimore City, graduated from Northwestern High School in June 1970, and attended Prince George County Community College. After high school graduation, Sandra pursued a career as an Accounts Receivable Clerk. Her last job was an Investigator for Civil and Criminal Investigations, Inc. Sandra married Edward Stoops in May 1975 and out of that union a son was born. She later met and was committed to Wellington Vessels for over 20 years and out of that union a daughter was born. Sandra had real zest for life. She enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She was an avid gardener and gave away many plants to her friend, neighbors and family. Sandra will be sincerely missed by her friends and family. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving and devoted soul mate, Wellington Vessels; her son, Edward Stoops, Jr.; her daughter, Alicia Vessels; three sisters, Janice Lockwood, Cheryl Bradley and Linda Green; one brother, Ronald Toppin; one aunt, Evelyn Bennett; one uncle, Barry Wilson; one daughter-in-law, Sara Stoops, and a host of relatives and friends.
