Obituary

Sarah Belle Ball, slipped into eternal rest at the Joseph Richey Hospice in Baltimore, Maryland on December 2, 2011 at 11:18a.m. Sarah, daughter of the late Spencer and Annie Kenner, was born in Whitestone, Virginia on October 22, 1939. She graduated from A.T. Wright High School in Whitestone, Virginia. Early in her life, she was baptized at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Whitestone, Virginia and was a faithful member until she moved to Baltimore, MD. and later joined Browns Memorial Baptist Church. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Astor Ball in 1961. From this union four children were born in which one son preceded her in death. Sarah was employed with Gundry Glass Hospital for over 20 years; she then worked for the City of Baltimore as a Crossing Guard until she retired in May 2011. She took such pride in her work and looked forward each day to have a watchfull eye for the safety of children. Sarah enjoyed spending time with family; She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was always ready to applaud them for all their achievements and sporting events. Sarah leaves to cherish and sustain her memories two daughter, Rochelle and Jacqueline; a son, Austin; an uncle, Arthur Kenner of Whitestone, Virginia; four aunts Mildred Epps, Lucy Smith; Mary Kenner all of Whitestone, Virginia and Rosie Jefferson of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren Lamont, Natisha, Crystal, Austin, Jr. James, Jr. Ashley and Justin, one great grandchild, Xavier; one Godson, Steve Carter; and a host relatives and friends.
