Sarah Margaret Alsbrooks was born to the late Johnny and Quessie Lee Alsbrooks in Hope County, North carolina. She received her valuable education in Robertson County. Sarah worked hard for everything she had. She worked for the International women's Garment Workers Union, and Katezenburg and Brothers for many years. Everyone who knew Sarah knew that she loved serving the Lord. The Central Baptist church in Baltimore was her life. She was very active in the church, but her passion was being a member of the Senior Usher Board. No only was she a member, but she served as President for over 40 years. Sarah worked very well with the Pastors of the church, including the late Rev. Montague J. Brackett, the late Rev. Lorenzo Long, and the Rev. Dr. Rodney T. Morton. Sarah was a wonderful grandmother. She spoiled her grandkids to the best of her ability. She loved Princess (Grandma), Princaya (Lil' Mama), and Xavier (Chubb- Chubb) so much. She talked about them all the time. At the age of 18, Sarah was blossoming into adulthood. That is when she met her one and only love, Frank Price. The young lovebirds were married on September 10, 1951. They were inseparable. If you seen one, you seen the other. They have been together for a rare and quite amazing 63 years. Sarah leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted and darling husband, Frank Price; daughter, Charleen Price; god daughters, Debra Hunter, and Beverly Colter; grandchildren, Princess and Princaya Sanders, and Xavier Webb; brother, Roger Robinson of North Carolina; sister, Annie Mae Alsbrooks of North Carolina; sisters in-law, Rosie Lilly, and Ethel Smith; brother in-law, John Price; nieces Annie Mae, Maxine, Nancy, and Beatrice Alsbrooks all of North Carolina, Elizabeth Eaton, and Helen Bethea; a special mom, Lilly James of North Carolina; nephew, John Alsbrooks of North Carolina; best friends, Kizzie Hodges and Geraldine Pretlow; and a host of other family members and friends.
