Saundria Annette Lewis, daughter of late Elmer R. Lewis, Sr. and Viola Boone Lewis, was born on October 19, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on Monday, June 18, 2007 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Saundria received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She graduated from Western High School in 1980 and went on to received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology fron the University of Maryland at College Park 1984. After completing college, Saundria was employed by the U.S. Department of the Navy as a personal security specialist. However, because of her passion for helping people with emotional and addictive problems she went on to pursue her chosen career path. She became a Direct Care Supervisor at Psychotherapeautic Treatment Services in Annapolis, Maryland; a Case Manager at Prologue, Inc. and last Primary Therapist at Baltimore Behavioral Health until she became ill. However, she remained positive, stayed active and lived life to the fullest despite her health problems. Sandi, as she was known, spelled with an ''i'' and you better not spell it with a ''y,'' was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was a member of ''Our Sisters,'' a ladies social club with whom she liked to travel. She was a loving, caring, witty person who was extremely out spoken. She was truly devoted to her family and would do anything for them. She really loved her nephews and nieces and was so proud of them. Sandi made numerous friends wherever she went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her. Saundria leaves to mourn and cherish her memory; her mother, Viola Boone Leweis; two sisters, Cynthia A. Johnson Charles of Sanford, North Carolina and Deborah A. Lewis Quntin of Baltimore, Maryland; brother, Elmer R. Lewis, Jr. Stephanie of Easton, Maryland ; four nephews, Marcus, Jason, Dovovan and Earl; four nieces, Erica, Jasmine, Diamond and Crystal; great-niece, Morgan; three aunts, Catherine Boone Christy, Hilda Waters and Mary Jane Jackson; and a host of loving relatives and special friends.
