Savannah Robinson, was born to Joe and Mattie Porter on Auguat 24, 1917, in Montogomery County, Alabama. For the past three years, Savasnnah has resided in Columbia, Maryland. Savannah departed this life suddenly on Saturday, June 3, 2006. She was an active member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church until her health failed serveral years ago. Savannah has been widowed for more than ten years. However, she is survived by her devoted mother, Mattie Porter, who attended Pilgrim Rest for more than 60 years. Savannah is the mother of thr children, Charles Williams Deceased, Vira Jean Hendricks of Baltimore, Maryland, and Mary N. Owens of Columbia, Maryland. She has seven grandchildren: Andrew Hendricks, Jr., Rynthia Williams, LaRhonda Owens, all from Baltimore, Maryland ; Edna Thomas of Montogomery; Sharon Hackett, Deborah Woods, and Carolyn Williams from Chicago, Illinois. Savannah is further survived by twelve great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Savannah has a long list of loving and devoted cousins, including Betty Dozier, Arlean Parker, Alex Smith wife Novella, and Betty J. Taylor, all from Montgomery, New York, Indiana, Texas, Maryland and Georgia.
