Seletha Green, the daughter of the late Emory Ellis and Helen Gumby was born in Salisbury, Maryland on April 26, 1924. On Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 10:43 PM, she entered into eternal rest surrounded by loved ones at her home. She received her early education in Baltimore City Public Schools. Seletha accepted Christ in 1987. She was a member at Rehoboth International Covenant Church, giving due honor and Praise to Apostle Chris Williams and Pastor Cathy Williams. Other memberships included Hemingway Episcopal Church in Cherry Hill and Maximum Life Christian Church, Woodlawn, Maryland. She retired after years of hard work and labor in factories. "Leapy", Leap, Grandmom, Aunt Leap, as she was affectionally known was a very devoted Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Cousin. She was a great comedian and full of laughter. Her famous quote was "I'm a Soldier in the Army" and her favorite scripture was "Psalm 121." When she gathered with family, you knew laughter would soon be around you. She loved the Lord and her family. She leaves to cherish fond memories and a Christian legacy, two daughters, Norma "Cookie" Williams (Michael), Karen Jones (Alphonso), one son, Marlon "Boy" Green and fiancee Angela, four grandchildren Toi Stewart (Larry), Michael "Mikey" Williams, Nneka Green and Daven Green. Eleven great-grandchildren, Lexis, DaQuan, Michael "Lil Mikey", Laryn, Taja, Tai, Teon, Carlos, Corinne, Izaiah and Teniyah all of Baltimore, Maryland. She also has a special nephew, Nathaniel "Sonny" Green, other relatives, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Nathaniel Green, sister Mary Jenkins, aunt, Renager Dutton, cousins Gladys Gaines, Helena Barkley, Ann Barkley, Charlene Barkley and Karen Barkley.
