IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Selma
Rogers
January 12, 1957 – February 26, 2021
Selma Louise Rogers, was born in Baltimore, Maryland at John Hopkins Hospital. She was the third child of six. Parents Randolph Rogers Sr. and the late Lillie G. Rogers (deceased in 1987).
She received her education in the Baltimore City Schools and continued her education at Catonsville Community College.
Selma was very active in several organizations, Out 4 Justice, Black Lives Matter to name a few. She had a very big heart when it came to family, but a even bigger heart when it came to the homeless and people in need. She would always volunteer to hand out meals, masks, sanitizer, whatever she could do to help others. She felt there should be more programs to get people off the streets. She mentioned an idea she had of adopting a homeless person; she felt if people could take this task on, this could help bring homelessness to an end.
She leaves to mourn: her father Randolph Rogers Sr.; sisters, Lisa Waddy, Maggie Rogers, Sonia Ross; one older sister Roseanne Counts and a younger brother, Randolph Rogers Jr. both preceded her in death; two brothers in-laws, Calvin Ross and James Counts Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends.
