Sharmel Marie Evans, daughter of Diana and the late Leon Evans, was born April 24, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland. Sharmel attended Baltimore City Public Schools. As time moved on, Sharmel became interested in the food service industry and pursued it as her occupation. Sadly on September 27, 2012, Shimmie as she was called by her friends, took a nap and failed to wake up. It seems God had other plans for Shimmie. Shimmie was an easy going, fun loving person who got along with everyone. She had a beautifil smile, which made her face light up every time she flashed it. Shimmie leaves to celebrate her life: her mother, Diana Evans, one sister, Latirshua Evans, three children, Latoya Bernard, Alvin Norris, and Janel Diamond Evans; two grandsons, Dayon Cunningham, and Marlowe Cosby, Jr.; two nephews Raymond Staten, and Tavon Carter; two aunts, Valerie and Joyce Hammond; cousins Shannon Lane Harris; Kevin Jones, Shasta Lee, and Shannay Madison; half sisters, Keisha Robinson and Michelle Thomas; her playmates Darren Fauntleroy and William Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends. Shimmie...you're gone, but never forgotten.
