On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Gilchrist Hospice Center,

Sharon was called home to be with her Lord and Savior after

a long battle with failing health.

Sharon Katherine Gibson was born on September 13, 1949 to

Gaston Malachi and Zada Lewis Malachi in Washington, DC.

She received her early schooling in that School System. Her

family relocated to Baltimore, Maryland where she completed

her education in the local public school system. She graduated

and attended Morgan State University for her degree in educa-

tion where she also earned a doctorate degree.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Zada

Malachi and her husband, William Gibson Jr.

Sharon started out teaching at the elementary level and quickly

moved into the high school science, retired from Northern

Senior High School in Baltimore City. As a teacher she flour-

ished in introducing students to science and helping them

succeed all areas of the field as adults. She has been a hand in

every aspect of high school in many children's education and

will forever be loved for her contributions to youth education

excellence.

Sharon accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She was a

long standing member of Blessed Sacrament and served on

many boards and groups within the church and Archdiocese of

Baltimore.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Deborah

Carroll and Sharonda McClain; one son, William Gibson III

(wife Adreana Gibson); two brothers, Michael Lewis (wife,

Gail Lewis), Aaron Lewis; grandchildren, Jessica McCorkle

Satterfield (husband William Satterfield), Jeffrey McCorkle

Jr., Darren McCorkle, Deborah McCorkle, Charice McCorkle,

Tyon Gregory, Roland Greene, Ladreana Greene, Jasmine

Green, Az'mariah Gibson; one nephew, Austin Romano; great

grand children, Logan McCorkle, Samari Lucas, Dereona

McCorkle, Kyin McCorkle, Saige Lucas, Jashon McCorkle,

Jaliyah McCorkle, Dawn McCorkle, Ailani Satterfield; her

very best friend, Gloria Carroll and a host of cousins, other

family and friends.
