IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharoness
Ringgold-Williams
March 4, 1953 – February 16, 2019
Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt took
her heavenly journey on Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the
comfort of her loving home surrounded by her devoted family.
March 4, 1953 was a beautiful day when Sharoness entered this
world. She was the fourth child of Eugene A. Ringgold, Sr. and
the Delores C. Burton-Ringgold. Sharoness was nurtured in
Christian love and teachings by her parents and grandparents.
She accepted Christ at an early age. Later in life, she joined
Zion Hill Baptist Church.
She received her education from the Baltimore City Public
School. She had numerous jobs, but she retired early as a
cafeteria manager in the school system.
Sharoness had one loving daughter, Vonda Byrd Saunders. She
had plenty of love to share. She welcomed family and friends
who were in need to her home. She always made that sacrifice.
Baby Cakes, as her husband called her, was a warm and loving
person. She greeted you with a big smile. Sharoness enjoyed
spending quality time with her family and friends. She enjoyed
playing cards with Tony and her family.
Sharoness was preceded in death by her two brothers, Eugene
A. Ringgold, Jr. and Ronald D. Ringgold and one sister, Denise
M. Ringgold.
Sharoness leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Henry
"Tony" Williams; one daughter, Vonda Saunders (Bernard);
one sister, Victoria Ringgold; three brothers, Marlon Ringgold,
Niles Ringgold (Mildred deceased) and George Ringgold
(Darlene); two grandsons, Antonitio Briggs and Hamaad
Briggs; one great-granddaughter, Aja Briggs; mother-in-law,
Joyce Ann Williams; seven sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-
law, three aunts, one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends. The "Doll", as friends called her, left us
with many loving memories.
