Shawn was raisedbyher motherandher great grandparents,the late Bishop Albertus MarkSr andMother ViolaMark, ina sanctifiedhome. She was nurturedandtaughttolive Christlike. Shawn received her educationinBaltimore City Public Schools,whereshehadapassion for sports.She loved playing basketball and softball.
Shawnwas employed byMaryland Division of Correctionsat Jessup Correctional Institute.She was a dedicated and hard worker for 20 years. Shewas familyoriented, outgoing, a lover of peopleand loved to attend events and gatherings with her family and friends. She loved operating the "Hot Dog Stand" with her family. She enjoyed feeding the youth and working withthe JamesMosher Baseball League.
Shawnwasa member of GreaterZion Apostolic Holiness Church and servedinmany ministries.She served asaTrustee, on theCulinary ministry, Pastor's Aide ministry and on the choir. She enjoyed singing on the choir. Her favorite songs were "On My Way Home" and "Who's on theLord's Side".
She hada strongbond withherson Qourtney, theanchor of herlife andmostprecious treasure.She adoredhersiblings and lovedspendingtimewith them. Herinfectioussmile and enormouspersonalitywould lightup the room. She had a wittiness and sense of humor that would surelykeep you laughing. Her most famous past time was playing cards. Shewas known as"The Queen ofSpades". Nomatterwhathand you weredealt she would always come back and Ace the game. She was a lovingmother anunderstanding granddaughter, a great sister, acaring aunt,athoughtfulcousin, a faithfulfriend, andaspecial Godmother. Shawnhad a heart of gold and willingness to help others. She was a happy, fun-loving,intelligent,and passionate personwho usedhermay gifts toinspire others.
