Sheldon Coleman Moody
and his twin the late Sherman
Houston Moody were born to the late Houston Coleman and
Ida Mae Moody on August 27, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland.
He departed this life on August 29, 2018 after a lengthy illness.
He received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools
System.
Sheldon accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was
baptized at First Baptist Church at an early age.
June 27, 1967 Sheldon join the United States Marine Corps.
He served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged
May 25, 1973.
After his military service he began his work career with the
United States Federal Government Park Service Department.
He retired after 25 years of dedicated service.
Sheldon was a very loving and kind-hearted person. He had a
smile that could light up a room. His laugh was unforgettable.
Family meant the world to him, he especially bonded with the
children in the family. He, loved having the children around to
help as he sold oils, incense and something for the kids. He
enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, music and
road trips. He made numerous friends wherever he went.
He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Rashaun; grandchildren,
Rayshard, Reese, Riley and Mackencie; sisters, Brenda, Veronica,
and Geneva; brothers, Ronald and Frank; a host of nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
