Sheldon Tyrone Taft, SR., affectionately known to all as Tyrone, was born on October 9, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the first son of the late Earl Franklin Taft, Sr. and Barbara White. Tyrone suddenly departed this life on August 12, 2009 He was baptized at an early age and was in active church activites. Tyrone attended Baltimore City Public Schools; he later decided to join the Job Crops where he Received his GED Certification. Being the eldest of five, Tye thought he should take the role of "Dad" of the entire family, even whenit came to his mother. Therefore, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and his tour of duty offered him the opportunity to see the world and serve his country proudly and faithfully. After the military, Tyrone married Yvette Jones. From that union five boys were born. Tyrone pursued several occupations. His last employer was The Maryland Club where he was a Supervisor of Environmental Engineering Department, a job that he enjoyed immensely. He was an avid sports fan and connected well with people form all walks of life. He leaves to Cherish his memory: his mother, Barbara White-Jackson; Yvette Taft; five sons Tavon, Sheldon II, Tracey, Tyree and Terrance; two daughters, ShaNae and Arrion; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Lamont Taft, Micheal Taft aand Earl Taft Jr.; two sister's, Sonia White and Audra Feldman ; grandmother, Mary Taft; three aunts, two uncles who preceded them in death; two sister-in-law and one brother-in-law; his loving companion and friend, Alicia Meaders; his best ffriend, Tom Richardson; a host of other relatives and friends.
