Sheray Evette Banks, affectionately known as "Ms. Penny", daughter of the late Mary Atkins and Benjamin Banks was born on January 10, 1974 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on May 27, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Sheray received her education through the Baltimore City Public Schools System, she graduated from Venable High School. Sheray was employed at Work First Incorporated. Penny loved the Lord so much that she became a member of every church in her neighborhood. Sheray was fun loving and outspoken. She was always the life of the party. She made numerous friends who soon became family. Nobody was a stranger in her eye sight. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Sheray is survived by her one and only daughter, Alexis Tiffany Banks; two sisters, Diane (Willie) and Tonya (Arnold); two brothers, Jesse (Mechael) and Carl (Antoinette); seven nieces, April, Arvae (Hasan), Jessica (Henry), Shakia, Danielle, Mechael and Cameron; seven nephews, Johnathan, Stephon, Jamal, Dvonne, Jesse Jr., Isaiah and Dalvonne, along with sixteen great grand nieces and nephews; a devoted friend, Gregory "Bubbles" Harcum and a host of other relatives and friends.
