Sherman Powell, was born in Halifax County, North Carolina on October 4, 1931 to his parents George and Lillie Powell. He departed this life on November 15, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He received his education in the Halifax County North Carolina School System. He relocated to Baltimore in the early 1960's where he continued his career in construction. He leaves to mourn: his brother, Joseph Powell; sisters-in-law, Patricia Powell, Karen Powell, Willie Mae Powell and Elizabeth Powell; brother- in-law, Cephus Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
